Conference on Human Rights and Forensic Science

The Irish Centre for Human Rights is co-hosting with the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification, University of Dundee, a conference on Human Rights and Forensic Science which will take place at NUI Galway on 24-25 April 2009. This one and a half day conference will explore current and potential future application of forensic science disciplines in the field of human rights and will discuss issues of both a practical and theoretical nature. The Centre will play host to a number of distinguished international speakers, drawn from a number of disciplines including law, sociology, medicine and forensic anthropology. The synergy between these different disciplines in the context of the advancement of human rights will be explored throughout each thematic session.
